How often do I need to replace the surface?
For an average dog using the board a few times a week, roughly every six months. Heavier dogs and daily scratchers wear it faster — swap it when the grit stops catching the nail.
Will it fit an older Pawboard?
Yes. The tray dimensions haven't changed, so these surfaces fit every Pawboard we've sold.
How do I remove the old surface?
Lift one corner with a fingernail and peel steadily at a shallow angle. If any adhesive stays behind, a cloth with a little warm soapy water clears it in a few seconds.
Is the grit the same as the original?
Identical. These are the same surfaces we ship with every new board, from the same production run.
